31st August.

Myself and a friend decided to fish the Arches again. The wind was blasting in a South Easterly. It was a nightmare at first. We both fished 2 hook flappers using mixes of crab. lug and maccy. The bait of the day as always was crab. We were missing bites like nobodies business. Between us we managed to land a tiny little whiting and a small but respectable plaice. The lads to the right of us also had what appeared a small whiting. All bait was being stripped which I put down to shoals of juvenile fish with of course the usual crabs which are notorious along this stretch for bait stripping.
